What is True Forgiveness?

It is IMPOSSIBLE to forgive anything unless you see it for what it really is. Forgiveness is shining the brightest light into the darkest, dirtiest corner and watching all of the nasties look up in terror and scuttle away. You know what you think is really there, but as long it it dark and hidden, you can never really face it and see it for what it really is.

Forgiveness requires looking at the reality of your Being as the Perfect Son of God.

In Chapter 1 of A Course In Miracles, Jesus gives us the 50 Principles of Miracles. These all describe the means of Forgiveness and the achievement of the Atonement. A few specific principles that relate to this are:

25. Miracles are part of an interlocking chain of forgiveness which, when completed, is the Atonement. Atonement works all the time and in all the dimensions of time.

26. Miracles represent freedom from fear. “Atoning” means “undoing.” The undoing of fear is an essential part of the Atonement value of miracles.

27. A miracle is a universal blessing from God through me to all my brothers. It is the privilege of the forgiven to forgive.

33. Miracles honor you because you are lovable. They dispel illusions about yourself and perceive the light in you. They thus atone for your errors by freeing you from your nightmares. By releasing your mind from the imprisonment of your illusions, they restore your sanity.

37. A miracle is a correction introduced into false thinking by me. It acts as a catalyst, breaking up erroneous perception and reorganizing it properly. This places you under the Atonement principle, where perception is healed. Until this has occurred, knowledge of the Divine Order is impossible.”

Forgiveness sees the truth behind the illusion. It is a real thing, not just wishful thinking. Forgiveness is turning on the light instead of stumbling in the darkness. When you see reality, forgiveness has occurred. When you see illusion, forgiveness has not occurred. Forgiveness heals your perceptions and restores you to your true mind. Ego will do anything to prevent that.

And finally, “50. The miracle compares what you have made with creation, accepting what is in accord with it as true, and rejecting what is out of accord as false.”

Forgiveness is seeing the truth and rejecting what is false. It’s as simple as that!

The Holy Spirit is my Link!

The Holy Spirit is our connection with God, like our umbilical cord.  The breath is the source of oxygen to the blood. Without it, the fire that burns within and fuels our physical body would die. The umbilical feeds the unborn, sleeping in the womb, totally  dependent on another’s breath and dreaming of separation, waiting for the day He will once again be able to breathe the Holy Breath.
